I have been teaching piano for over 30 years in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and New Jersey.  I approach each student, young or mature, with an individualized plan of study based on musical interest.

After spending 20 years living in Southern California as I began my career as a music composer in the film business, and then as I transitioned to a career in higher education, I have been committed to helping to inspire students while furthering their goals through music education.

As a composer, I believe in creating strong, memorable melodies, while also exploring rhythms and dissonance that can be complex, vivid, and rich, thus transcribing into music that which words cannot express. 

Victoria has a Bachelor's and Master of Fine Arts degree in Music and Music Composition from Tulane University.  She also completed her certificate in Scoring for Motion Picture and Television at the University of Southern California.  She later completed her MBA at Pepperdine University, and in 2020 completed her Doctorate Degree from Drexel University.

As a teacher and artist in the music business I have perspective that is applied, creative, and unique. As an educator, my goal was for each person to be able to identify something within themselves through music and art. This type of appreciation of the arts creates a great cycle of positive contributions to society, tolerance, harmony and life-long learning.

As a teacher, I am creative, empathetic, compassionate, driven, and committed to improving and making music education accessible to all, as well as finding innovative ways to remove the barriers to the opportunities music education affords individuals. I offer private lessons in my home or yours.   For your first lesson I will assess where we will begin and what method and approach we will use.
